Reversing the tide of English dominance by teaching our children the foundational building blocks of Kikuyu grammar.
I cannot stress enough the tragedy of our modern 8-4-4 and CBC curriculums where African languages are treated as second-class citizens. For our children, learning to count (ĩmwe, igĩrĩ, ithatũ) and understanding the complex noun classes (like Mũndũ/Andũ) isn't just grammar; it is an act of reclaiming identity. We must systematically construct environments where they are not penalized for speaking their mother tongue.
